Using your Snap Sling
The Snap Sling is a reversible holster for hatchets, handlines, trekking poles and other tools. Here's how to use it to carry the most common tools for hiking, camping, gardening, and more:
Snap the sling onto a belt
Use the Daggerfish Strap Snap system to attach the Snap Sling to any belt or strap up to 1.5" wide. The Snap Sling is reversible for left- or right-handed mounting - simply flip the sling over to change orientation.
Choose a tool to carry
Designed to accommodate the most common tools for yardwork and outdoor recreation, the Snap Sling will hold tools up to 1.25 lbs and with handles up to 1.75" x 1" thick, easily enough for most hatchets, hammers, trekking poles, and fishing rods.
Snap over tools with flared ends
The angled design of the Snap Sling holds tools securely, while allowing tools with straight handles to slide in and out easily. For tools with flared ends, like hatchets or some trekking poles, pop open the brass snaps at the top of the sling, insert the tool, and press firmly to reattach.
Adjust for full mobility
With the angled design of the sheath and versatiltiy of placement, you can carry tools hands-free in the backcountry while maintaining your full range of motion. Get a set of MOLLE Strap Adapters to increase placement options, including directly over top of belt loops, or strapped onto webbing loops on a pack.
